Getting Here

We are located in downtown Clare at the corner of pine and 7th street.

Parking

Parking lots are located on

  • State Street (North lot)
  • Pine Street (Daycare Lot)
  • 7th Street (Education Building Lot)

Street parking is also available on State, Pine and 7th.

We have three main entrances.

  • The East entrance, located off Pine Street,
  • The South Entrance located off 7th Street, and
  • The West Entrance located off State Street.

When entering the building, a greeter will be there to assist you with in-building directions. Greeters will have bulletins available.

To keep our congregants safe during service. the South and West entrances will be closed and locked during service. The West Entrance will remain open.

Worship

As a visitor, you will not be asked to stand up or wear a special indicator, but you will be greeted and welcomed by our church Hospitality team and our church family.

We have no dress code! Suits or jeans, wear whatever you feel comfortable in as you worship God.

We practice open communion, so you do not need to be a member of Clare UMC or any church to participate. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month. We love children and consider them a vital part of our church family. Clare UMC offers a nursery next to the sanctuary with trained staff, and a Kid Zone in the sanctuary for the youth to hang out. Children worship bags are also in the Kid's Zone.

Hospitality

Clare United Methodist Church strives to be welcoming—something we proudly display outside with large letters reading, “Open Minds, Open Hearts & Open Doors.”

Inside, you’ll be greeted with a smile and handshake, then see our Welcome Center desk. Stop by before or after services to find brochures, booklets, and information about church events, Sunday School, nursery, small groups, and other activities. We also share resources on current issues and how, with God, we can help or receive help.

You’ll find flyers and newsletters about upcoming events like dinners, socials, movies, and picnics, plus books, tapes, and DVDs available to borrow. While you’re here, enjoy a complimentary drink and snack in our relaxing Trinity area—we’d love for you to visit soon.
